Dr. Faris
Dr. Haider Faris has been in the dental field for more than 10 years. In addition to his two DDS degrees, Dr. Faris also holds a General Practice Residency certificate, a Periodontics Externship certificate, and an Advanced Implant Training certificate. Education and Dental Implant Experience Dr. Faris is a graduate of Loma Linda School of Dentistry located in southern California where he gained extensive experience diagnosing and treating patient with complex dental needs. After graduation, he attended the 10-month Advanced Surgery and Implantology program offered through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). During this training, he was exposed to various surgical procedures ranging from bone grafting to implant placement and restoration. Advanced Periodontal and General Dentistry Training Dr. Faris completed a post-graduate Periodontics Externship at Loma Linda which enables him to provide more help and focus on his patients’ gum problems, and to address periodontal problems as they relate to overall oral and systemic health.
In his General Practice Residency, Dr. Faris received extensive training, experience and speed in treating emergencies and providing comprehensive care treatment for his patients. Dr. Faris also has a Doctorate degree from MSA British university. Awards and honors received The Clinic Award from Loma Linda Dental school Reach Scholarship from Loma Linda Dental school Family and Cycling.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Faris enjoys spending time with his wife and two children doing outdoor family activities. His hobbies include cycling and swimming, and he is the founder of the ‘’Mira Mesa Dental Cycling Club’’ so that he and his patients who are interested can enjoy some time cycling on the road away from the dental world. Dr. Lina Aljanabi D.D.S., B.D.S.
Dr. Lina has been practicing dentistry since 2009, and holds two DDS degrees; she obtained her DDS degree from Loma Linda School of Dentistry, and her Bachelors of Dental Surgery from MSA British university. Experience and Cosmetic Dentistry Dr. Lina completed a general practice residency and has extensive training and experience with different aspects of dentistry with a specific focus on cosmetics and smile makeovers. Dr. Lina puts significant emphasis on her patients’ satisfaction, and treats every patient as she would to her own family. She is passionate about her work and loves to connect with her patients! Away from the office As a mother of an amazing young boy and girl, Dr. Lina also enjoys providing dental care for children, motivating kids to take care of their teeth, and providing consultations for parents on how to maintain their little loved one’s oral heath. When outside the office, Dr. Lina enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys bowling and competing with her 6 year old daughter, and spending girl-time shopping.
Dr. Alzwaideh
( Endodontist )
Dr. Alzwaideh graduated from NYU
College of Dentistry with his DDS degree.
He then completed a one year hospital residency at Lutheran Hospital in New York, during which his passion for endodontics was solidified. Afterwards, Dr.
Alzwaideh pursued a two year Endodontic specialty program at NYU. After his training in New York City, Dr. Alzwaideh relocated to San Diego, CA, where he currently resides with his wife and dog. He enjoys the outdoors and being close to his family. Some of his hobbies include traveling, cooking, playing tennis, and of course taking his golden retriever on long hikes. During your visit with Dr. Alzwaideh, you can expect a professional, efficient, and pain-free treatment. He welcomes questions and strives to educate his patients as much as possible. His ultimate goal is to change the world's
misconceptions behind root canal therapy, one patient at a time.
Janice Flores, Office Manager
Janice was born in the Philippines and moved to the US when she was 4 years old. She is fluent in Tagalog and loves speaking her native tongue. “Halika at sumali kayo sa aming pamilia, salamat po at mabuhay!” Janice joined Mira Mesa Dental Office as a dental assistant in 2005, and shortly after graduated as an RDA and continued her education in dentistry. Mira Mesa Dental has allowed her to grow and expand her expertise in our front office, and Janice has been handling the administrative side of the practice since 2013. With over 14 years experience in healthcare and 6 years of administrative duties, Janice is committed to assure our patients and their families have a positive experience during each and every visit. Janice loves to travel with her husband and two children. Outside of Mira Mesa Dental you’ll find her with her family around the Mira Mesa community.
Priscilla Presley, Treatment Coordinator
Priscilla has been in the dental field for 18 years. She graduated from dental assisting school in 2001, and became a licensed registered dental assistant at USC. In 2012, Priscilla started working for Mira Mesa Dental Office as an RDA. In 2018, she expanded her knowledge and now helps our patients with their financial and treatment planning needs. When Priscilla not at work, she is spending time with her family and friends. She recently fell in love with horseback riding, but most of all she enjoys time with her two amazing kids.
Ann Powell, RDH
Ann was born and raised in Texas, she went to Dental Hygiene School at Baylor College of Dentistry in Texas/ Dallas, After graduation she moved to San Diego with her husband where they enjoy the beautiful sunny weather and outdoor activities. Ann has been a hygienist for more than 10 years, she provides excellent care to her patients and tries to make the dental visits more pleasant and comfortable
Jovaughna Harres ("JoJo"), RDA
Jojo was born in Dayton, Ohio but was raised up in San Diego.She went to Concorde Dental assisting school and graduated in 2009, since then she has been in dentistry field helping patients, she says: ‘’I want to be Dental Assistant to help people and give them positive experiences and associate dentistry with good things’’. Jojo loves spending time with her family and enjoys food tasting and cooking.
Samantha Oaked, RDA
Sam was born and raised in California in the Bay Area, she moved to San Diego in 2019. Sam went to Heald School for Dental assisting and then got her RDA degree, since then she has been working as dental assistant and been providing help and comfort to her patients. Sam enjoys the talks with her patients and she truly cares about them.
